12BH7/12BH7A vacuum tube is a medium mu dual triode originally designed as a driver in TV sets.
It is capable of driving good amounts of current with low distortion, and is often used to drive power tubes in modern audio amplifiers.
Current production 12BH7A from Electro-Harmonix is a direct replacement for 12BH7 and 12BH7A tubes.
JJ ECC99 is a compatible driver tube. it can be used as a substitute for 12BH7 in many cases, but please refer to amp manufacturer's recommendation if you aren't sure.
12BH7A EH
Electro-Harmonix 12BH7A is a current production tube manufactured in Russia. It is a copy of GE Grey Plate 12BH7. 12BH7A-EH features long plate boxes for high current capacity and thick glass for lower microphonics.
12BH7A-EH is a drop-in replacement whereever 12BH7 or 12BH7A is called for.

ECC99-JJ
ECC 99 was developed as a driver tube for JJ 300B. ECC99 delivers excellent linearity with very strong drive capability, making it suitable for driver application for DIY audio projects.
ECC99 is similar to 12BH7A, and is a drop-in for most applications. Please note that on some amps, 12BH7A is used in power supply circuits and ECC99 is not a drop-in. If you are not certain, please check with the amp manufacturer first.
