Close reproduction of NOS EL84, Electro-Harmonix version sis contructed to withstand the heat better. Nice, warm tone in guitar amps, especially on cathode biased amps. Note that EL84EH tends to bias 'hot' and may not work well in fixed bias amps like Peavey Classic 30.

Note: Ei EL84 is true to authentic NOS 6BQ5, and has pin 1 tied to pin2 internally. These tubes will not work in some amps that uses pin 1 as a tie point. These amps include Laney VC30, Lexicon Signature 284 and Fender Vibro King.

EL86 produces the same power as EL84 but with lower plate voltage and higher plate current. This makes it more suitable to OTL designs.
