Equivalent to Western Electric WE-437A, this tube is quiet and has a very high gm which makes it suitable for low signal high gain applications like a phono preamp stage.
Russian version of 7199 which is used on amps such as Dynaco ST70. 7199 are specifically designed for HiFi audio application, and the Sovtek version provides an excellent value.
ECC 99 is was developed as a driver tube for JJ 300B. ECC99 delivers excellent linearity with very strong drive capability.
ECC99 has characteristics similar to 12BH7A, and drops in for most applications. We do recommend that you check with the amp manufacturer if you aren't sure about using ECC99 in place of 12BH7.
